The Lost Seashell

A seashell speaks to my ear on the beach,
Whispers quietly of a place called home.
Repeating the sound of a clear blue reef.
The salty air fills my lungs as I breathe,
Sitting in the sticky sand all alone.
A seashell speaks to my ear on the beach.
I enter the water, escaping heat,
The seashell navigates me to a cove.
Repeating the sound of a clear blue reef.
I watch seaweed and coral wave and greet,
My hand still clutching onto the white cone.
A seashell speaks to my ear on the beach.
I relax my hand and let it release.
The time has come, and my mission is done,
Repeating the sound of a clear blue reef.
Wash up with the water, sit on my knees.
Feeling fatigue, I just want to go home.
A seashell speaks to my ear on the beach,
Repeating the sound of a clear blue reef.
